Client Specification

The construction of a high quality data centre is a tricky process. Construction teams must remain compliant with required temperature and humidity levels throughout the build process. Historically, manual checks and out-dated systems were not sufficient to ensure continuous compliance, leading to potential losses and working safety risks.

Our customer needed a robust solution to monitor environmental conditions in real-time and gain insights into the data, in order to ensure their compliance with industry standards and to protect the quality of their data centre equipment. El-Björn were tasked to provide accurate automated monitoring, maintain the buildings temperature and humidity during the build process and set up real-time alerts about the machines performance.

Project Outcome

To address these challenges, El-Björn implemented multiple TF18 EBC heaters in combination with a CONNECT Gateway unit. Our intelligent EBC units are able record temperature and humidity readings of its given environment, these reading are then transmitted via the CONNECT gateway unit to our remote monitoring platform El-Björn CONNECT, an advanced loT-based Temporary BMS system designed to monitor and manage temperature, humidity and energy levels across all points of the project. With the ability to access and analyse data remotely, set customised alerts, and generate detailed reports, all through our user-friendly portal, the company achieved significant improvements in operational efficiency and compliance, ensuring product quality, reduced losses, and streamlining their operations. This highlights the importance of leveraging advanced technology.

The implementation of the El-Björn CONNECT Systems followed a well-structured plan:

1. System Design and Customisation: The system was tailored to the specific needs of the company’s requirements. TF18 EBC units, with internal sensors were installed in the data centre at the required points to provide comprehensive coverage.

2. Training and Onboarding: Employees were trained to use the portal and interpret data from the system. The training sessions were designed to ensure that the staff could make the most of the system’s features, such as setting custom alerts and generating reports.

3. Integration and Testing: The system was integrated with the company’s existing logistics platforms. Extensive testing was done to ensure that the system performed as expected, with no interruptions to the ongoing operations.

4. Go-Live and Continuous Support: The CONNECT System was officially launched, with real-time data being monitored and analysed. Ongoing technical support and system updates were provided to ensure the system’s longevity and efficiency.
